Legends and traditions: this chapel was built on the site of an earlier one, product of a promise of an inhabitant of this village. Legend has it that this man fell in love with a “foot of goat Lady” which attracted him to a cliff where she wanted to kill him, being saved from the sad fate by the invocation of São Tiago, who he pledged to dedicate a temple.
